Hammer specializes in the design, manufacture and sale of hydraulic breakers ranging from 60 to 15,500 kilograms for use in excavators, backhoe loaders, skid steer loaders and small excavators. In addition, the company also produces spare parts for demolition shears, crushers and hydraulic breakers.

"For us, it will provide new opportunities for mining, quarrying and aggregates, because we didn't have it before," said Dany Martin, Kinshofer's Canadian sales manager. "Now we can say that we are a one-stop shop."

For hydraulic breakers, Hammer has manufactured 25 models. After the acquisition, Kinshofer now offers breakers ranging from half a ton to 200 tons.

"Next year our sales and market share will increase. We have already sold some units," Martin said the day after the acquisition. "We have talked with some distributors and they are really happy because they don't have to carry another brand, which is a good advantage."

Under the Kinshofer brand, the company plans to continue to produce a full range of hammer crushers.

“Some customers look at the price, some look at the impact, and now we can provide both at the same time. They have all the features that customers are looking for. Only in the small range of 3 to 6 tons, we have four models,” Martin said. "We will keep everything, at least for the first year."

In addition to adding an additional product department, Hammer has also improved Kinshofer's distribution channels in Italy and the rest of the world.

Hammer opened its store in 1980 and produces more than 7,000 products a year in six manufacturing plants in Italy. In addition, the company has more than 100 employees and 10 warehouses in 71 countries and regions around the world. In 2018, Hammer's revenue was approximately 20 million euros.

"Their production capacity is very good, so we can have a brand new hammer within a week," Martin said.

Kinshofer Group was established in Germany in 1971, and its brands include Kinshofer, Demarec, RF Systems, Auger Torque, Doherty and Solesbee.
